Returning from survival island this morning
6 Day Summer Camp
Survivors return on a perfect morning at Ardmore
Thursday August 8th 2013
We picked the teams up from the island at 7am this morning after ideal overnight conditions. Some bleary eyes were there to greet the boats after mixed amounts of sleep, many staying up late around the campfires that they had built and diligently maintained.
Mackerel and damper (bread dough on a stick) seemed to have been the many source of sustenance so the cooked breakfast of bacon, beans and eggy bread didn't last long on the plates this morning.
The team are at Oldshoremore beach today. A beautiful stretch of white sand, with rarely more than a handful of people on it. A great day to chill out and relax after survival island, to swim, bogey board, a bit of quick cricket and the rest. Its warm and sunny, a nice end to the week.
