More action from the Craigclowan team

Ben Stack, rock climbing, sea kayaking and some fishing

Tuesday July 19th 2016

What a busy time the Craigclowan team have had so far…. After learning survival skills and sea kayaking on Sunday, they ate their supper and headed out to the bothy near the bottom of Ben Stack for the night. With wet weather, they slept in the bothy instead of tents to get a better nights sleep before climbing Ben Stack on Monday. Everyone summited in poor visibility but cheerful. All were tired but elated at supper time back at the adventure school.

Today we joined in with the mini heatwave! A glorious day saw the team swimming in the loch before breakfast. Search to Survive, our orienteering course on the wild land above the adventure school backed by majestic Ben Stack, which they could admire as their mountain. This afternoon they have been rock climbing and abseiling, all challenged and did really well. After supper, we have been sea fishing in calm and warm conditions with great views of the sun setting, catching some mackerel for their night on survival island, much excitement.
