Some of the Michael Hall team on the evening walk high above the Adventure School
Steiner Schools Week
Michael Hall team arrive at the Adventure School
Saturday June 3rd 2017
We have two Rudolf Steiner schools staying with us this week, a team from Kings Langley and a team from Michael Hall. Both are following a similar programme but working independently from each other and we’ll post separate news reports for each team across the week.
After some delays at Gatwick the Michael Hall team arrived with us later than expected, shortly after seven o’clock this evening. The walk from the road end, along our vehicle track and across the shore only takes about 15 minutes and the team came straight in for dinner.
After dinner a quick bit of unpacking and then the group, who will work in two teams this week, set off to a high point above the Adventure School, where they could get a 360 degree view of all the places that we’ll explore together this week.
Tomorrow the team are rock climbing and abseiling and learning the fire and food elements of the survival skills that they will need on the island at the end of the week. After supper tomorrow the team will head out to camp at the foot of the mountain, ready to climb it on Monday. We’ll update the news page again on our return from the mountain, most likely late on Monday evening. In the meantime everyone is well and looking forward to the adventures ahead.
