Highfield team arrive at the Adventure School

Sunday July 8th 2018

After a bit of a delay at Gatwick the Year 7 team arrived at our mailboxes at the road end shortly after 6.00pm. They had a short walk in along the shore to the Adventure School whilst bags came in the 4x4 and trailer.

Once at the Adventure School it was straight in for supper, macaroni cheese and a couple of different salads for supper tonight, with chocolate cake for pudding.

After supper the pupils (who have been split into four teams; the Blue Whales, Blue Moons, Red Snappers and Red Deer) climbed to a small hilltop above the Adventure School with their instructors, to get a view of the mountains and sea lochs that we will explore over the next couple of days.

A quick bit of unpacking and then off to bed.

Tomorrow the boys and girls will be up at 7am for a run or a swim before breakfast. The Blues will sea kayak whilst the Reds rock climb and abseil, and all teams will look at the fire and food element of the survival skills that will be needed on the island on Thursday.

More news to follow over the coming days.
