St Johns team arrive in time for a swim before supper

Expedition preparations begin

Saturday July 14th 2018

The team arrived at the road end shortly after 5.30pm this afternoon. We packed bags into the 4x4 and trailer and the teams took the short walk in along the footpath to the Adventure School.
We were out for a swim within 20 minutes, breaking the waters of Loch A Chadh-Fi with a bit of initial yelping at the water temperature!

Macaroni cheese, with salads and coleslaw this evening, followed by a piece of cake, and then out onto the hilltops above the Adventure School to get a 360 degree view of all the places we will explore together over the coming week.

The cloud had lifted enough to make out the bulk of the mountains that dominate our eastern horizon. Foinaven (on the left of the team in the picture) will be the expedition objective for the older two teams whilst Arkle (on the right) will be the objective for the younger team.

We leave on expedition tomorrow afternoon and return on Tuesday and we will update the news page again when we are back from expedition. The team are well and seem excited for the adventures to come.
