Enjoying the warm evening sun in front of the Adventure School
Thank you Mr Shaw!
Survivor's return from the island for beach day, and their final evening at Ardmore
Thursday July 14th 2011
It is the end of a long week, and the pupils have made the most of every minute at Ardmore. The team returned this morning from survival island and headed to the beach at Oldshoremore after a survivor's breakfast.
Mountains climbed, crags scaled, sea lochs paddled and swam in, creels dropped and lifted, and uninhabited islands survived. The spirit amongst the team has been on a constant high and they have been a pleasure to work with.
Tonight, as the week draws to an end, the setting sun has turned the rocks around the Adventure School to soft shades of pink and orange. One of a number of beautiful evenings this week. It is great to see the pupils really absorb the beauty and spirit of this place.
Each team pulled off a good performance at the concert tonight and we rounded off with a short show of pictures from the week. It's hard to believe that so much has been packed into six days!
Mr Shaw has brought teams to Ardmore for nine years now, and this will be his last. He has been a keen supporter of the Adventure School and his commitment to the weeks here have been of huge benefit to the pupils that have joined him, and the other school staff here. It is clear that the pupils will miss him greatly and we hope we'll see him here again in a different context. Thank you Mr Shaw!
